Overview:

After shifting to Shopify, my client was looking forward to a better conversion optimization. I aimed to generate a groundbreaking ROAS since day 1.

I had tried various techniques in the ad strategies and the numbers were getting better. In this process, learned a lot of things which I definitely will apply on my next optimization.

My process:

  • First, I searched for more relevant interest-based audiences for targeting.
  • Tried single interest and behavior ad sets. After that, tested them on Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO).
  • Paused and excluded the audiences that were not working within 2-3 days of observation.
  • Introduced Lookalike Audiences such as 0-1% and 1-2% of Purchases and Add to Carts. This resulted in a lot of sales and high ROAS.
  • Kept ads attractive, minimal, and used an appropriate copy. Clickthrough Rate (CTR) was frequently better.
  • Introduced a custom audience of people engaging with the Facebook page in the last 30 days which helped us achieve a good amount of audience from Facebook itself.
  • Offered a tempting discount and set a time limit that increased the number of purchases.
  • Improved product page with better Conversion Rate Optimization practices like trust elements, customer reviews, payment gateway trust badges, detailed product descriptions, etc.
  • Experimented with diverse permutations of location targeting, mostly catering to Tier 1 and Tier 2 audiences.
  • Researched and explored more relevant areas of interest. Tested, ran, and scaled them all which maximized profitability.
